No — not for jars meant to keep at room temperature. These ratios are for refrigerator pickles and marinades, where the cold does most of the preserving.
A canned pickle is safe because its finished acidity is low enough to stop Clostridium botulinum, and two things this calculator never asks about decide that: the acidity of your vinegar, which is not the same at 5% and 6%, and how much water your vegetables release into the jar once packed. Tested canning recipes settle both by fixing the proportions, which is why the National Center for Home Food Preservation asks you not to alter the vinegar, food or water in one.
For canning, follow a tested recipe. Use this calculator for the fridge.
